Overview:

Mother London is looking for an experienced Designer to work across a variety of exciting UK and Global Brands. They must have at least 3 years experience working at major agencies as an Art Director / Designer.

As part of the agency’s Communication Design team, you will report in to the Design Director, Head of Creative Operations and ECD. Responsible for originating, developing and crafting design work across all of the agency’s client roster. Taking ownership for the style, look & feel and aesthetics on the projects you are assigned. Developing how brand’s messages and communications are conveyed visually. Working across all touchpoints of visual communications – including brand identities, logos, packaging, typography, print and press layouts, assets for motion graphics and digital platforms and everything in between.

Areas of impact:

Creativity & Design

• Deliver Excellence in design, as well as creative thinking and strategic awareness.

• Produce sketches, illustration, graphic design, typography, visual references and storyboards to convey & execute concepts.

Relationships

• Liaise with the Creative Resource Manager, as well as directly with Mothers and Producers to understand the needs and requirements of the projects and clients. Building strong internal relationships.

• Collaborate effectively and build trust with Art Directors, Creatives and Creative Directors. Forming a tight creative unit across the visual world for campaigns and projects.

• Capable and confident in presenting your own ideas and having open, collaborative creative discussions with both clients and colleagues.

Talent

• Have an interest and eye out for the best talent out there – whether that’s up & coming designers to join the team, or the best illustrators, photographers, production companies to collaborate with.

• Support training and mentoring initiatives when requested, to help build a supportive and nurturing culture within the team, and promote DE&I within Communication Design

Workflow

• You will work closely with the Creative Resource Manager to map out your projects and commitments, but ultimately expected to take ownership for the timings and deliverables of your projects. Delivering work to a high standard to meet deadlines, and communicating clearly on any issues or problems that arise.

Technical skills required:

• Expert in Adobe creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator

• Proficient in office tools – Outlook, Microsoft (Excel/Word), Keynote and Google docs

• Knowledge of any other key design software e.g. editing, motion graphics, animation, 4D, a bonus

• Apple Mac User.
