Job Description

Le Col is a rapidly growing premium cycling apparel brand on a mission to establish its reputation as the best performance cycling brand in the world. We aim to inspire progress in every cyclist.

The Creative Artworker will interpret and implement the Le Col brand across a broad range of projects from digital, social, print, and motion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong, traditional design background with digital asset production experience. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership for the creation of artworking assets across all our seasonal campaigns and evergreen day-to-day work. This person needs to be passionate about translating an idea across all touchpoints, and confident in the systems and tools to achieve this.

The majority of design tasks for this role will be across CRM, Social, and all things website. We’d look to this person to develop our templating of BAU work, and owning a light level of retouching for lifestyle and studio shoots.

The designer will need the flexibility to work across timelines that range from immediate to long-term.

We’re a cycling brand at heart, but we’re looking for someone with that same passion for creative & design, whether you wear Lycra or not.

Reporting to: Creative Director

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Creation of email designs and journeys, web page designs and social output.
  • Taking high level concepts and artworking / designing that idea across all touchpoints including digital, social, video, email, PR, and advertising.
  • Curation and retouching of campaign imagery to use across a number of channels. This will include light retouch responsibilities such as colour correction, retouching talent and product.
  • Maintaining the high visual standard Le Col sets and assist others in delivering this standard.
  • Systemising our design processes, and templating to improve efficiency.
  • Ensuring consistency and quality execution in line with brand guidelines.
  • Working on wireframes and website enhancements to enhance the website experience.
  • Regularly communicating with the digital team and be able to fulfil requests in a short time frame.
  • Manage multiple work streams and meet deadlines.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 2-3 years digital design/artworking experience. Confident in the production of asset creation and enjoys seeing an idea rolled out onto many outputs.
  • Evidenced experience of working in a fast-paced design role. Retail/premium brand or agency/design studio.
  • Demonstrable an impressive digital design portfolio for social media, ecommerce, email, display, etc
  • Experience working on branding projects from conception to completion.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop essential). Figma experience is a must.
  • Additional skills in moving image/motion design would be an asset but not essential. Experience in Adobe After Effects and Premiere is a bonus.
  • Ability to manage own workflow and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • UX/UI experience would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of brand values, guidelines, and briefs.
  • Active interest and knowledge of current design, media, and social trends
  • Traditional typography and print skills.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • Be able to work independently as part of a wider team.
  • Good communication skills, written & spoken.
