Senior Creative – Performance-Focused Creative Strategy

The role:
We are looking for a Senior Creative who can combine high-level creative ideation with a deep understanding of performance marketing. This role is essential in driving the creative strategy and execution for our clients, ensuring that all creative outputs are tailored for performance across paid media channels.
The right person for this role would be somebody who enjoys being at the centre of shaping creative direction for clients, as well as being involved in the hands-on production of creative concepts, assets and templates to maximise performance. As a key figure in the creative team, you’ll also be guiding junior designers, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with client objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level creative looking to take on a leadership role with both strategic and executional responsibilities, bridging the gap between design, creative strategy, and performance marketing.
Responsibilities:
• Creative Strategy & Planning: Lead the development of performance-driven creative strategies for paid media campaigns across social, display, and other digital platforms. Define what creative outputs are required for optimal campaign performance.
• Design & Production: Be hands-on with design and asset production when required, using tools like the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Figma.
• Concept Development: Generate high-level creative ideas and strategic concepts that align with marketing goals. Guide clients through a clear narrative behind ideas and ensure they fit within a performance-focused creative lens.
• Client Leadership: Serve as the primary creative contact for key clients, leading discussions on creative direction, presenting work, and managing feedback loops to align with business objectives.
• Creative Direction & Quality Control: Provide feedback, steer, and mentor junior designers to maintain high creative standards. Conduct quality assurance checks on all outputs to ensure they meet brand guidelines and performance benchmarks.
• Performance & Testing: Oversee the testing and iteration of creative assets to optimise performance, working closely with strategists and paid media teams to understand what works and why.
• Project & Time Management: Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met in high-pressure environments while maintaining quality and strategic alignment.
• Collaboration & Resource Management: Work closely with internal teams (paid media, strategy, copywriting) and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of creative assets. Allocate tasks effectively to maximise efficiency and output.
About you:
• Experienced Creative Leader: You have a strong background in design and creative direction, with hands-on expertise in graphic or motion design. You can confidently lead creative ideation while executing when needed.
• Performance-Driven Mindset: You understand how creative impacts marketing performance and can adapt creative concepts to suit different digital channels. Experience in a performance marketing environment is highly desirable.
• Client-Facing & Strategic Thinker: You can lead client discussions, present creative work with confidence, and articulate the reasoning behind design choices from a performance perspective.
• Organised & Detail-Oriented: You manage your time effectively, prioritise tasks, and oversee multiple projects while ensuring all creative outputs meet high-quality standards.
• Strong Communicator & Problem Solver: You thrive in high-pressure situations, can manage client expectations, and are proactive in finding solutions.
• Tools & Software Expertise: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant design tools. Bonus points for experience with project management tools like Trello, Monday.com, or Asana.
• Collaboration & Leadership Skills: You can steer junior designers, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of creativity and performance within the team.
Bonus skills (not essential but appreciated):
• Experience working in a creative agency or a business where creative is measured for performance.
• Knowledge of A/B testing, creative analytics, and performance data interpretation to inform creative decision-making.
• Experience adapting creative for different marketing objectives, such as lead generation, conversion rate optimisation, or engagement.
• Understanding of digital marketing principles, particularly within the paid media space.
