Our client is a leading global strategy and experience design agency specialising in creating next-generation experiences and environments for global brands and retailers. They create brand strategy and immersive environments, leveraging the senses through communication, digital, and experience design. Their clients are mainly across luxury, lifestyle, footwear, apparel & consumer tech.

The Opportunity

As Senior Project Manager, you’ll manage a broad range of integrated creative projects, ranging from 3D-built environments and experiential spaces to brand campaigns and digital content, delivering innovative projects that push boundaries. The Senior Project Manager is key in instilling confidence in all stakeholders as well as the team.

You’ll be a positive motivator of people, a problem solver, and a lateral thinker, comfortable with ambiguity and applying mental agility to projects, as well as enjoying the details and being excited about delivering pioneering work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceptional project management of the delivery of pitches and projects against agreed budgets and timelines: Demonstrating outstanding organisational skills, you’ll plan projects from inception through to successful delivery, ensuring all parties have a clear understanding of the process from the offset and throughout. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
  • Collaborating with the client services team, and project owner, to execute project plans, and ensure planning is captured in our project management software
  • Tracking project progress, and taking ownership over the delivery of the scope of works
  • In collaboration with the Project owner, ensure the team are clear on task allocation, and tasks are tracked in line with the scope of works
  • Instigating, facilitating and capturing key project meetings
  • Identification and escalation of risks to the smooth running of the project, escalating as appropriate to the Project owner and client services team
  • Onboarding projects into the studio smoothly: ensuring everyone has clarity, including set up of project programme, coordinating and running meetings (kick off, project, wrap-up), sharing minutes, sharing of information between team & client. Skilled in leading effective meetings that require coordination of multiple stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with the client services team, providing exceptional end-to-end client service and seeking opportunities to grow scopes of work: identifying how to respond to client challenges by having a deep understanding of their audience, sector and what keeps them ahead of the game. In collaboration with the client services team, this role continues to fuel their competitive edge by growing and supporting client relationships in end-to-end business development and inspiring that approach team-wide. Bringing fresh thinking and energy to every opportunity and client interaction.
  • Ensuring collaboration between individuals, teams, and businesses: between their creative and production teams to define and solve briefs through research, strategy, and delivery, throughout briefs. Continually developing an understanding of the creative process and output and displaying competency in handling production from the built environment to print and digital assets.
  • Financial accountability: managing large-scale budgets effectively, and coordinating the management of billing schedules on projects. In collaboration with the client services team, helping prepare, and finalise, project scopes and costing exercises; informing the value of the project to the studio.
  • Managing project resources: Ensuring your projects have an accurate resource plan in line with the project budget. Identifying resource gaps and escalating to the Creative Operations manager, supporting in allocating and onboarding any freelance resource required.
  • Display exceptional communications skills: you’ll be the main conduit of coordination and timely information from the studio to clients, partners, landlords, contractors, and suppliers, including senior stakeholders or C-suite teams in large organisations. Regularly connecting with the Leadership team, updating them on an overview of work at play, and having the ability to think beyond individual projects to consider innovations in management, themes, or initiatives that can be fed into the company.
  • A figurehead for the project management and client services offering in the business: setting and communicating precedent and expectation. Supporting the wider client services team in ensuring this team is cohesive, coordinated, and consistently delivering, and helping recruit and onboard new talent.
  • Looking to continually develop and progress leadership skills with support of the Leadership team.
  • Presenting confidently and positively: being able to articulate your and the teams’ thinking, internally and externally, taking a role in shaping and presenting work.
  • Acting as their client's eyes and ears: regularly keeping up-to-date with clients and projects in a self-initiated way, including in-between live projects.
  • Regularly reviewing tools, systems, and processes: helping to ensure that the right tools, systems, and processes exist within the business and driving initiatives around their development.
  • Supporting People and Planet as part of their commitment to B-Corp: striving to ensure the work they do with clients considers environmental and social impact through projects.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with retail clients across strategy, built environments or branding.
  • Creative agency or in-house experience.
