Job Description

We’re a rapidly growing international interior architecture and design studio based in London. Our projects include everything from London townhouses to New York brownstones to luxury villas and Cotswold country estates.

Our team of 15 people work from our office near Battersea Power Station - making lunch breaks and after work get togethers extra fun. You’ll be reporting directly to our directors, Irene Gunter and Ian Hazard and occasionally working with our consultant marketing director.

Through organic content, award wins, press, and a good dose of word of mouth, we’ve built a strong following on Instagram, but growing it beyond where it’s at has become an impossible task for us to do ourselves. We’re looking for a full time social media manager to join our team, though we’re open to creating a part time role for the right candidate (minimum of 3 days per week). This person will help us to strategically grow and develop our social media presence through elevated and on brand content.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and increase engagement.

For the first 3-4 months, we do ask that you’re in the office and at site visits with the team to help you embed into our business, but are happy to review this with you following your 3-month probationary period.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in social media within a luxury market (bonus points if you’ve worked in interior design)
  • Knowledge and awareness of the interior design realm is essential with a genuine interest and passion for homes, interiors and property
  • Plan, develop and implement social media content strategy
  • Outgoing personality - we’ll need you to build relationships with our team, clients, and contractors along the way
  • Demonstrable proficiency in content capture and creation - whilst we do professionally shoot all our projects, we’d need you to create on-the-go and in progress content of the team and our projects
  • Measure and demonstrate ROI
  • Strong Instagram experience - while we want you to predominantly focus on Instagram, we’re open to other channels if you feel it would work for our business growth
  • Highly competent writer with the ability to take on our tone of voice - we’re sticklers for detail and our captions need to be written in a way that reflects the business and speaks to our audience
  • Proficiency in basic graphic design tools and video editing suitable for social media content
  • Familiarity and experience with analytics tools to track and measure the success of campaigns
  • Finger on the pulse with the latest social media and industry trends
  • London-based with the ability to travel to site visits (these are largely in London but will occasionally be outside and international)
  • Creative mindset - working in a design studio is a creative environment and we want someone who can thrive from that and create content to reflect our work
  • Able to work on own initiative to identify opportunities and overcome problems.
  • Excellent English spoken and written

Role & Responsibilities:

Social media management:

Content development for Instagram (and potentially other platforms if relevant), ensuring consistent messaging and brand image across all channels. The role will work in close collaboration with our Creative Director to ensure the ‘story’ behind the design is correctly portrayed.

Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor activities and customer feedback

Content creation:

Generate visually stunning and compelling multimedia content, including images, videos and graphics, to showcase our designs, skillset and studio mindset

Maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent and cohesive brand message

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and business development, to align marketing initiatives with business objectives and project launches.

Community engagement:

Foster a strong online community by responding to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Monitor and analyse marketing performance metrics making data-driven decisions to optimise social media strategy campaigns and achieve marketing goals, mainly focused on engagement rather than simply a numbers game.

You will brief and work with freelancers, photographers, and videographers where necessary to support the Creative director.

Benefits and compensation:

  • Salary range for this role is £38-45k (or pro rata if part time) depending on experience
  • Private medical insurance post probation period being completed
  • Ad hoc paid overseas trade fairs
  • Extra unpaid holiday – option
  • 25 days Holiday + bank holidays
  • Additional Christmas holidays (2-3 days) at the director’s discretion
  • Over & above bonus
  • Up to 15% discretionary bonus scheme
  • 2 x early leaves per quarter (2hrs)
  • Working from home a minimum of 2 days a week (adjusted pro-rata based on a full-time role)
  • Flexible working hours; you can start between 8 & 9.30am and finish respectively, e.g if you start at 8am you can finish at 5pm, if you start at 9am you finish at 6pm.
  • Commission scheme when introducing a viable client to the company
  • Quarterly social events

We are looking for an individual with a flexible attitude, hands-on and passion for design, starting immediately.

We’ll be conducting first round interviews throughout April with our consultant marketing director, Jess, with second round interviews being conducted by Irene and Ian. We’ll be setting a small task ahead of second round interviews to get a sense of what you’d create for us.

  • Please only apply if you have excellent English (spoken and written)
  • Please only apply if your qualifications and experience meet those required
  • Please only apply if you have a valid visa to work in the UK and are already based in London
