About the Role
We’re searching for a proactive Graphic Design Team Coordinator to be responsible for coordinating the work of our talented team.
Working closely with our design team, and collaborating with project teams you’ll be working to understand project requirements and objectives and supporting the team to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. You’ll need to be able organise the day-to-day work of our team, while keeping an eye on the bigger picture
Passionate about creative design and about the impact it can have on the success of our projects, you’ll be adept at joining dots, and identifying potential issues before they arise, and finding pragmatic solutions to keep our plans on track.
Responsibilities
- Planning the design team resourcing across the life cycle of a project, building a schedule that is realistic and aligned to project or concept deadlines
- Arranging design briefings and key check-points with the team
- Monitoring work to ensure that design tasks are on track and of a high quality, highlighting areas of concern and mitigating areas of potential risk
- Coordinating support from freelancers and the core team, ensuring that work is distributed fairly and effectively
- Providing support to the team with administrative activities, including providing appropriate resources for the team
- Maintaining a materials library / archive of our design work, ensuring that it is organised effectively and easy to access
- Making suggestions to continually improve our workflows and ways of working, to maximise the time dedicated to crafting design and creative ideas
- Communicating clearly and effectively with both internal and external teams, ensuring that effective feedback is provided
- Supporting the business development team and pitch leads by arranging design time for preparation of bids
- Implementing design process as directed by the senior design management team
Requirements
- Experience of working in a similar role (eg: Traffic Management), with a foundational understanding of design processes and workflows
- Mac-literate with advance competence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite, and Slack
- Familiarity with design programmes: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to prioritise effectively, understanding the critical and most pressing demands first
- Ability to solve problems and make routine decisions, with some direction required on more complex problems
- Strong eye for detail, even when working under pressure
- Flexible, collaborative, and resourceful hands-on approach
- Understanding of design phases and processes (RIBA Stages 0 to 7)
- Knowledge of CAD softwares is desirable (Vectorworks or Revit)
- Knowledge of 3D modelling softwares is desirable (Rhino/Grasshopper, 3D Studio Max)
- Knowledge of the cultural heritage sector would be advantageous
