Mid-Weight Project Manager
Job Description
Hello, we’re Impero.
We’re an independent, award-winning creative agency.
We work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Corona, Budweiser, First Choice, Paco Rabanne, Great Ormond Street, and a bunch of others.
We’re pretty good at what we do. We’ve been nominated for two Agency of The Year(s) including The Drum DADI Agency of the Year in 2022. We were also shortlisted as Campaign Independent Agency of the Year and for two years running, made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work. We were awarded a Silver Arrow at the British Arrows Awards 2022.
This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion.
There are about 40 of us (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because we’re ambitious, and do great work.
We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have
100% pay parity, and it kind of annoys us that we even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry.
We gladly do things differently. We‘re super ambitious, honest, and always deliver.
We don’t really like the ‘Old Guard’ of advertising. This is an agency that uses passion, ingenuity, and an anything-is-possible attitude to deliver work across all kinds of platforms. It’s one of the reasons why working here is a hell of a lot of fun. Everything’s to play for.
Not surprisingly, this is a growing agency, so we’re looking for a Mid-Weight Project Manager who wants to be part of and help drive that growth.
The role:
As a Mid-weight Project Manager within the Delivery Team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your projects. You need to be an integrated PM with some experience in running full 360 campaigns.
You will support the Account Directors by managing key clients, pushing the agency to produce great client work, and ultimately, helping bring your clients and their brand fame and glory.
This will include:
- Confidently create project scoping documents and project plan
- Monitor project performance and job health
- Ensure projects are delivered to scope, budget, and to agreed time frame
- Work with the Operations & People Manager to schedule studio resource
- Work with clients and internal teams, from initial briefing to final delivery
- Reporting to our Head of Project Management and Director of Client Services & Delivery
You will be assessed against three key performance indicators:
- Deliver projects on-time 100% of the time and to within 95% of the agreed budget
- Build strong relationships internally, earning 80% positive peer feedback during reviews
- Deliver SOW documents of up to £80k within an ETA of 3 working days
The type of people we want to meet:
You'll embody our core values of never letting your team down, being honest, doggedly determined, always on point, and audaciously ambitious.
You will have a hunger to build strong client relationships, deliver exceptional work for your clients, and be part of an amazing team. More so than this, you will have a willingness to learn things outside your wheelhouse and pick up skills quickly.
You will live and breathe great work. You will be energetic, fun to work with, and always positive.
- Around 3 years experience within a PM role ideally within a creative agency environment
- Have a good foundation of cross channel executions
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Good initiative and a genuine love for building relationships and managing campaigns
- Is able to problem solve and bring solutions to the table
- The type of person who likes to create amazing work – rather than sit in a meeting talking about it
- A good team player invested in Impero’s growth and new business opportunities
- Proactive and committed to developing own knowledge and skills
- Unafraid to roll up sleeves and muck in
- Organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines
- Is driven, motivated, and meticulous attention to detail
- Have a can do attitude and a bit of the ol’ entrepreneurial spirit
The perks of working at The Mighty Impero include:
- Being part of something special — this is an exciting growing agency with no board of directors, or shareholders to report to
- Opportunity to Opt into our Health Insurance
- Life assurance and Income Protection
- Enhanced Parental Leave policy
- Hybrid working which includes a 'Work From Abroard' policy
- The ability to stamp your mark on an organisation – not just be a cog in the machine
- Seasonal company parties
- Summer hours in July and August
- Annual personal development plan and training budget for your own growth
- A ‘yes work’s important, but let’s not get too serious’ vibe
- A distinct lack of bureaucracy or politics.
- Ownership over your own projects whilst enjoying an inclusive environment
Final word:
This is an awesome place to work. We’re in control of our own destiny. But it means we’re the only ones that can deliver it. We’re all massively ambitious and hard working. But it’s also fun.
We all get along, there’s no politics, just heaps of passion. We’re the creative industry’s new guard. And it’s awesome.
