Job Description

About the role:

This is an exciting new opportunity at Creative Lives in Progress, designed to elevate our social content and expand our reach. We are looking for a skilled and highly organised Social Media Content Creator to play a key role in executing and evolving our social media strategy.

Reporting to our Head of Content, you’ll take ownership of content production, community engagement, and performance analysis across all platforms. This is a hands-on role that requires creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple content streams while working closely with internal teams and external creators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive social strategy execution – Work closely with the Head of Content to execute our social media strategy, aligning with 2025 targets to enhance brand presence and engagement. Monitor performance, contribute insights and develop ideas that shape future initiatives.
  • Own short-form video content – Lead the creation of TikTok and Instagram Reels, from scripting and hosting to filming and editing. Manage the production process for freelance and in-house creators, overseeing briefs, providing feedback, and ensuring content quality.
  • Analyse and optimise performance – Track and report on social media metrics, translating data into actionable insights that improve engagement and content effectiveness.
  • Manage creator relationships – Source, onboard, and collaborate with freelance content creators and influencers, ensuring partnerships align with brand values and objectives.
  • Lead content adaptation – Transform site content (Articles, Guides, Opportunities) into engaging social media formats, from TikTok videos and Instagram carousels to LinkedIn and Instagram Threads.
  • Oversee the social calendar – Plan, schedule, and maintain a strategic flow of content using Buffer, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives and deadlines.
  • Foster community engagement – Represent our brand by responding to comments and messages, maintaining an active and authentic connection with our audience.
  • Support brand partnerships – Develop bespoke social content for Company Partners, including capturing video content at events to create immersive brand experiences.
  • Create and curate visual assets – Use branded templates to maintain a strong visual identity across all social posts.
  • Maintain commercial and industry awareness – Remain aware of our industry and creative developments to contribute ideas that work towards strategic goals for the year.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in social media management, content production, or a similar role, delivering impactful, high-performing social media content.
  • Experienced in creating video content for social media, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, engaging content.
  • Proficiency in editing tools/software (e.g. Premiere Pro, Capcut, TikTok in-app editing).
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and content best practices.
  • Proficient in design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva.
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to craft compelling copy and engage audiences authentically.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • A creative problem-solver with strong idea-generation skills and a knack for cost-effective content solutions.
  • Passionate about supporting emerging creatives in the industry.
